FSK10213 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways

Get ready for further study or entry to the workforce

This qualification is designed for individuals who need skills to prepare for a vocational pathway qualification or further foundation skills development. It is suitable for those individuals with education, training and employment goals who require the following:

  • Prevocational pathway to employment and vocational training

  • Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) level 2

  • Entry level digital technology and employability skills.

Core Units

  • FSKDIG02 Use digital technology for simple workplace tasks

  • FSKLRG08 Use simple strategies for work-related learning

  • FSKNUM08 Identify and use whole numbers and simple fractions, decimals and percentages for work

  • FSKNUM09 Identify, measure and estimate familiar quantities for work

  • FSKOCM03 Participate in simple spoken interactions at work

  • FSKRDG07 Read and respond to simple workplace information

  • FSKWTG06 Write simple workplace information.

Elective Units

*Elective units selected will be relevant to vocational pathway sought by the student.

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for entry to this qualification, however Far North Training & Consultancy has the following selection criteria for this course:

  • The participant will be required before enrolling to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment to determine what level of support the participant may need to assist them through their study program.

Delivery

Face-to-face in a small group training environment located in Mossman.

Awards Issued

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the Qualification:

  • FSK10213 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways.

Duration

Program duration for a full time student is an average of 6 months.

Location

The program is delivered at Far North Training & Consultancy 11 Johnston Rd, Mossman.
