Person-centred care & support
The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support now offers one course but with specialty areas including Ageing and Disability, . This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

Packaging Rules
To complete this qualification you will need to complete 15 units
**9 core units and 6 elective units
Electives may vary depending on the specialisation.
Any combination of electives that meets the rules in training.gov.au website can be selected for this qualification and where appropriate, electives may be packaged to provide a qualification with a specialisation.

Licensing Requirements
There are no licensing requirements for this qualification.

Entry Requirements
There are no pre-requisites for entry to this qualification, however Far North Training & Consultancy has the following selection criteria for this course:
The participant will be required before enrolling to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment to determine what level of support the participant may need to assist them through their study program.
The participant must have a current police check at enrolment.
Prior to commencing vocational placement, students MUST have required vaccinations to protect students, residents, clients and staff from contracting communicable illnesses. For further information please contact our staff.
Delivery
Face-to-face in a small group training environment.
Awards Issued
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the Qualification:
CHC33021Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
Duration
Course duration is 6–12 months.
Classes are held two days a week for 24 weeks per program.
Vocational placement is an essential component of the program with an expected 120 hours required.
